Terms, plainly.
The terms of service for the Outride apps are a draft and are not published yet. This page says what applies when you use this website and its shop, and it names where the apps’ terms live.
These pages are ours to publish and yours to read, quote and link to. The words, the drawings and the layout are Outride’s. The photographs are other people’s: every one of them is listed with its author and its license on the image credits page.
There is no account to make and nothing to sign in to. Three forms take an entry — the Outride Food teaser, the driver waitlist and the contact form — and what each one stores is set out on the privacy page. Putting a form to an unlawful use, or trying to reach parts of the site that are not published, is the only thing asked of you here that is not simply good manners.
Signing up to a waitlist reserves nothing and guarantees nothing. It is a note of your interest, and we will write to you once, when the thing you signed up for opens.
Ordering has not opened. The checkout is in its rehearsal mode: it produces a real, complete Stripe checkout page and cannot take a card, so nothing can be bought here and nothing can be charged. The prices shown are provisional while production costs are settled.
When ordering does open, the card is taken on Stripe’s own hosted page rather than on this website, shipping is a flat rate and goes to addresses in the United States only, and the returns and refund terms are published on this page before the first order can be placed. Those terms are not written here in advance of being agreed.
The Outride rider and driver apps have terms of their own: how a trip is arranged, what is charged and when, what is expected of a rider and of a driver, and where Outride’s part ends. That document is a draft, written from what the apps actually do, and it is carried inside the apps rather than here — the driver application shows it beside the privacy policy and the background-check disclosure, at the point a driver is asked to sign.
Neither app is published yet, and the binding version of those terms follows legal review before either one is. Until then, nothing on this website is an offer of a ride or of driver work, and this page is the only statement of terms Outride has published.
To ask about any of this, write to us on the contact form.
Outride sends text messages to a mobile number whose owner agreed to them, by ticking the text-message box on the driver application at outride.now/drive or beside the phone number in the Outride rider or driver app. A code you ask for, to sign in or to confirm a number, is sent because you asked for it.
What is sent: verification codes, booking and ride updates, driver job offers, and replies from the Outride team. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out of texts from Outride, and START to resubscribe. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. The privacy policy says what is done with them. Questions go to hello@outride.now or the contact form.
